This handy picnic table can be assembled at the park or beach and is made from a single piece of plywood.

Arriving at a park to find all of the picnic tables occupied puts a real damper on your afternoon BBQ plans. Avoid that scenario by bringing your own picnic table, one that can be stored and transported flat in your truck, and then quickly assembled once you reach your destination. The beauty of this table is that it is made from a single-sheet of plywood, which can be cut in a day.
This Instructable from Midnight-Maker, details the steps involved to make this picnic table. He used 3/4-inch plywood for this project, a circular saw for the straight cuts, and a jigsaw for the curved cuts. A pull saw will be useful for cutting the notches, and a router and sandpaper are what you'll need to smooth the edges. Penetrating epoxy sealer will make your table waterproof, but you can also use a stain/sealer for added color. If any piece of the table gets damaged you can always just cut a new piece to replace it!
